Iggy Azalea responds to TIP [Formerly T.I].: 'I'm chillin'

Iggy Azalea has responded T.I.’s comments that he has ended their business partnership. “Here’s the deal, I am still signed to @tip and do business with him,” Azalea wrote on Twitter Thursday afternoon. “The first I’ve heard of us having an ‘issue’ is via a radio interview. Personally, I don’t think the radio is the place to talk about your personal issues with someone that’s part of your team…”

Heres the deal, I am still signed to @tip and do business with him. The first ive heard of us having an "issue" is via a radio interview.

Azalea added that while T.I. “seems to think there’s nothing wrong with what he said, everybody else seems to disagree.”

On Wednesday’s edition of Hot 97’s Ebro In The Morning, T.I. said that his relationship with Azalea—who was at one point considered his protégé—came under duress when she publicly feuded with Q-Tip after the MC alleged she had appropriated black culture.

“She had a lot thrown at her in one time, any human being anywhere is going to have a hard time,” T.I. explained. “It’s very difficult to be the new kid and to be the butt of the jokes and to be directed, like, be the direction of all the negativity, you know what I mean?… [Iggy] came at a time when culturally, this nation — she’s not from here — we were actually looking for a source for somewhere to place some pent-up aggression.”

Im sure tip will publicly clarify what he meant when he feels he has the right platform to do so and other than that, im chillin.

For now, Azalea appears to be giving her former mentor the benefit of the doubt. “I’m sure tip will publicly clarify what he meant when he feel he has the right platform to do so and other than that, I’m chillin,’” she wrote in conclusion. “Have a great day guys.”
